Our guided mountain bike tour through the foothills of Mount Meru offers a unique cultural immersion experience. Guests will explore the charming villages of Patandi and Akheri, learning about local Tanzanian culture and daily life.
This 2-hour tour begins at Lake Duluti, where we will cycle through the villages of Patandi and Akheri. Participants will interact with locals, observe daily farming activities, and get a glimpse of Tanzanian village life. A stop at a local home-brewery will allow visitors to taste "mbege," a traditional banana beer made by the Chagga ethnic group.
Yes, you can modify your tour date or change the departure time upon request. However, modifications must be confirmed by the supplier.
Meals are not included by default, but you can add a lunch option for an additional cost of 15 USD. If chosen, lunch will be served around 12:30 pm and consists of a local assortment of dishes.
If the tour is canceled due to adverse weather conditions, clients will be notified and fully reimbursed.
We recommend comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for walking or biking. It may be beneficial to bring a warm jacket for cooler months (June-August).
